The village Septfonds lies just one kilometre from our camp-the numerous caves make for exciting exploration! Cycle and walking routes - of varying degrees of difficulty - are available at our camp-site. For the slightly less adventurous - or energetic - it's also possible to explore the surroundings by car or by public transport.

The area boasts many small and charming medieval towns and villages:

Caussade also known as the 'Ville du Chapeau', because of the former straw hat industry.
Bruniquel a medieval village with narrow and sloping streets and its dominant castle.
Penne with its ruins of an ancient Cathar fortress atop a cliff.
Saint Antonin Noble Val, on the banks of the Aveyron, with a medieval town and the large regional market on Sunday mornings.
Montauban, the capital of the department Tarn et Garonne is located on the banks of the river Tarn, and is particularly charming with its pretty pink-stoned houses.
Cahors has established a fine reputation thanks to its excellent wines, but also the medieval centre is very much worth a visit
Cordes sur Ciel, the city of 100 arches and wonderful examples of 13th century Gothic houses
